All my life, I’ve been a skincare addict frustrated by the fact that I could never find products that were both luxurious and gentle enough. Even the most expensive lines were packed with unnecessary fillers and chemicals that irritated my skin. Necessity drove me to create remedies and rituals in my “kitchen laboratory” for my own personal use. My training as a chemist provided the technical diligence necessary to do just that – combine ancient traditions with modern science. I started with organic sugar,a revitalizing natural cleanser, combined with exotic butters, ancient botanical remedies and subtly intoxicating fragrant essential oils.
At the same time, I was becoming increasingly aware of the changing forces at work in the world-specifically, the rapidly shifting state of the environment and the effects on our planet.
I wondered if there was a way to infuse my product with a sustainable philosophy that was more than just skin deep.
I felt It was my responsibility to develop a product line with a conscience, not only for myself but as a life and legacy for my three children.
I embarked upon a period of research, and discovered that if everyone cut their daily shower time by one minute, we would save over 160 billion gallons of water in one year.
The result was the 3-minute shower™, a luxurious product that doesn’t waste water (it’s designed to be lathered on while the faucet is off) or time (it exfoliates, cleanses, and moisturizes in one step).
As it turns out, saving your skin and the planet are not mutually exclusive. I am confident that my products make a contribution to both, and I am excited to share them with you.
